Common questions
How is home health care paid for?
For eligible Medicare beneficiaries, home health care is typically covered in full. We also accept Medicaid and many Medicare Advantage and commercial plans — see the list below, and call us to verify your specific plan.
Do I need a doctor's order?
Yes. A physician must order home health services. Anyone can start the referral, and we coordinate directly with your doctor to get the orders in place.
How quickly can care start?
Once your physician's orders are confirmed, a registered nurse will schedule your first home visit, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Who can make a referral?
Anyone: physicians, hospital staff and discharge planners, community agencies, relatives, friends and neighbors, or patients themselves.
